During the weeks and months following a loss by death, many people encounter a confusing search for understanding and acceptance of this loss in their lives. To assist our client families in this search, Hamilton's Academy of Grief & Loss offers the Family Services Symposium.
During our programs, speakers offer practical suggestions for coping with grief to help adults who have experienced a death. Following the presentation, a memorial candle lighting is held in honor of loved ones. Another important part of the symposium is the presence of representatives from community organizations that provide support services to anyone who has experienced a loss. They are available to talk with guests and provide information about their grief support services, as listed in our Community Resource Booklet.
