Doug Tedder

Funeral Director & Crematory Manager

Doug began his career with Hamilton’s as a Family Service Assistant in December 2008, after retiring from a 30-year career at QWEST Communications. Doug has lived in Des Moines all of his life and graduated from Grand View University in May 2005 with a BA in Psychology. He then completed the DMACC Mortuary Science program in the fall of 2007 and became a licensed Funeral Director in 2011, upon completing his internship at Hamilton’s. Doug currently serves as Hamilton's Crematory Manager.

Doug now lives on an acreage south of Des Moines, where he spends time on outdoor activities including hunting, fishing, camping, riding motorcycles, gardening and raising chickens. He enjoys interacting with and easing the grief of the families served by Hamilton’s.
